Vendor Profile: Hyatt Greenhouses
Hyatt Greenhouses and Nursery was established in 1985. We operated for 20 years on Arthur Street and during that time we researched local hardy fruit varieties growing in backyards and properties in Thunder Bay and rural areas. We propagated and planted out some of the better-tasting fruits as well as commercial varieties from Canada and northern Minnesota. Today we harvest and offer for sale fruit from apple, pear and plum trees. There are two locations for growing, one at Arthur Street and one at Dawson Road.
We grow and supply bedding out plants, perennials, some trees and shrubs, vegetables and herbs from these locations. Everything is pesticide-free and grown with sea kelp and composted fertilizers. We also gather and sell wild fruits such as blueberries, saskatoons and cranberries as available. We sell jellies and pickles made from our own fruits and vegetables.
We are a family operation and proud to be selling at the Thunder Bay Country Market since 2008.
