Photographs are a lasting impression on the heart. A chance to capture a piece of time and cherish it. Whether it’s a studio portrait, a sports team photo or that once-in-a-lifetime graduation event, Nancy Tillberg of Shine Photo Studio will capture that special moment to shine on.
On the second floor of the old Crawford Street School is an upscaled classroom with comfortable chairs, salon stations and plenty of priceless props and gowns. It is here where Nancy chose to open her photo studio in 2012, just as she approached retirement from her full time job. One glance at her online website portfolio and her talent is evident; she has the true eye of a photographer.
Shine Photo Studio is now a blooming, full service studio open by appointment. Her specialties range from family and child photography to sports teams and other organizational photos in large quantity orders. But her services don’t stop there. Beyond her prints, Nancy also offers specialty products available with your portraitures, such as water bottles, keychains and calendars. For teenagers, she offers a special model program, where participants have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours, points towards scholarships and prizes, and participate in photo shoots and community events. Workshops are scheduled to learn about makeup and modelling. She is also very well known for her fairytale portraiture for smaller children, pictured above.
Over the years, Nancy has achieved numerous goals in exercising her talents. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and is in the process of testing to receive her certification as a professional photographer. In 2013, Nancy became a part of our vendor base at the Thunder Bay Country Market, where order pickups are always available, and she now features a new design and printing center. She aims to shoot at least one limited edition photo session per month here, where photos range per season.
Nancy has truly displayed her talents among the vendors and her clients who visit her here, and has brought a true, unique experience to Thunder Bay Country Market! Shine on, Nancy!
