Vendor Profile: Chocolate Cow

Choose Your Indulgence

The Stanton Family invites you to enjoy a collection of peanut and tree-nut free natural delectable treats including chocolate, honey, apples and home baking, from the Chocolate Cow, located in the Slate River Valley just south of Thunder Bay.

Chocolate Cow offers treats that have been crafted with loving care and the fullest attention to detail and quality by highly skilled artisans and is well-known for its quality locally made chocolates, fudge, pies, cookies and festive gifts. On Market day you’ll find the Stantons behind a beautiful display case featuring Single Origin chocolates, seasonal lollies, handmade truffles and delectable gift baskets.  Seasonally they provide shoppers with the products of their own apiaries and apple orchards, including pies famous for their crusts.

The Turtle Joe, made with creamy firm caramel, crunchy toasted garbanzo beans (no nuts!) and smooth milk chocolate.

Local & Nut-free
As well as being NUT FREE, the Chocolate Cow prides itself on using local suppliers, Ontario fruits, and traditional local recipes. The Chocolate Cow also services wholesale suppliers, restaurants, fundraising groups and special events.  Meet the Stantons weekly at the Market or at their shop in the Slate River Valley.  They’re always happy to answer questions.

Shop Online for Easy Pickup
In a rush next weekend?  Chocolate Cow has launched a webstore to serve the huge customer base clamouring for their products after a wildly successful visit at the Royal Winter Fair in December.  Don’t worry, though – we’re not going to lose them to the big city.  Their first order of business was to create a “pickup” option that lets you pre-order whatever goodies you’re looking for and pick them up in a quick and easy trip to the next Market.  Visit www.nutfreechocolatestore.com to place your order now!
